GOALS

Our goal is to reduce the number of unwanted or mistreated animals. This would include unplanned litters of puppies and kittens, pets that end up with irresponsible owners who surrender them or mistreat them, hoarders, and owners who cannot financially afford pets.

Our purpose is to make spay/neuter affordable for everyone: low- to moderate-income households, those who take care of feral colonies or ranch animals, the elderly or on a fixed income, or those who have made unwise life choices for which their animals suffer. We are non-judgmental, keeping our eye on the target of helping the animals, and in addition, our community.

Butte Spay/Neuter Task Force will provide help with spaying and neutering of companion animals until our community has a manageable population; until our outreach and education efforts result in a home for every animal; and until every household in our region takes personal responsibility for the veterinary care of their companion animals.
